MY FAVORITE

This is not a poem of my own, instead it is a posting of my favorite artist, Thom Yorke, who is the lead singer in the band Radiohead.  All of his music is so unique and artistic.  The first song that I ever heard from the band was called "House of Cards".  My drawing to this track was partially his eerie voice, partially the minor sounds, and partially the poetic lyrics. Now he's no Cat Stevens when it comes to imagery and ability, instead Yorke is innovative and abstract.  Here are the lyrics to one of their songs.

"House Of Cards"

I don't wanna be your friend
I just wanna be your lover
No matter how it ends
No matter how it starts

Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine

Fall off the table,
And get swept under
Denial, denial

The infrastructure will collapse
From voltage spikes
Throw your keys in the bowl
Kiss your husband 'good night'

Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine
Forget about your house of cards
And I'll do mine

Fall off the table,
And get swept under

Denial, denial
Denial, denial

Your ears are burning
Denial, denial
Your ears should be burning
Denial, denial
